Got some make-up palettes kicking around, collecting dust or not getting used. Get inspired and create your own art.

I used make-up as a medium back in high school for one of my bi-weekly projects (create a small piece of art every two weeks on top of major projects). I didn’t come up with idea myself, as I saw someone else do it first. I wanted to delve back in and see what else I could come up with.

This art piece has a lot of warm colours, but I look forward to doing some next week in some blue/green tones. i have some great eyeliners that should make things interesting.

If anyone tries this out on their own, please feel free to upload a video reply, I would love to see what you all came up with.
As always if you have any requests, please feel free to shout out in the comments below.

Hi, my name is Brown Sugar, Sugar for short. If you would like to see more videos of me, please leave your requests in the comments below. Look forward to hearing from you, my darlings.

Here are some more Macrame styles I’m using to experiment the following:
*Micro-Macrame: using fine small cord (and equally small beads)
** Beading (on the center or outside strings)
***Half-Knots or half a square macrame knots (choose one side to knot to determine how it twists like a DNA strand)
If you have any requests or things you would like to share, please feel free to sound off in the comments below

Continuing with some more DIY Jewellery, I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am. It’s so gratifying to make something for yourself. I didn’t get a chance to mention this in the video, but I have a few friends who will be ordering some of my bracelets from me for their family members as stocking stuffers. Yeah! Get the ball rolling enough and it may lead somewhere . . . (note to self: make sure to use steering, lol)

Summer DIY jewellery has such a fresh look to it, and you appreciate it that much more because it was made with your own two hands. Get ready for back-to-school beautiful fashion jewellery. This week we’re braiding a bracelet with hex nuts. Zinc is pretty standard, I have get to find any ‘gold’ looking ones yet, but you could always paint them with nail polish to add some colour if you so choose.

If you like what you see or you have suggestions for what you would like to see next, please feel free to leaver you comments or requests below. I would love to hear from you all.

I wanted to continue exploring a new art medium using bubbles and food colouring which I started last week (link below). This time I used much more, like ridiculously more food colouring for the project so it would not be so washed out and transparent. I hope you like it as much as I do, because it turned out fantastic.

If you have any requests, feedback or replies (written or video), please post them below. I would love to hear from all of you.

I you haven’t been watching my previous videos I have been inspired like crazy by the things I’ve found on Pinterest, so checkout my Handi Mandi TV Pinterest Page to see what I’ve pinned. If you like something you find, repin or let me know in the comment below if you want me to make a video on it.
So this week I’ve experimented with painting . . . using bubbles, yes, bubbles. It works best with food colouring, you can also use liquid watercolours. I stress liquid, because the paint won’t dissolve and it’s not enough colour saturation as it is with the food colouring. You may want to mix your own blend of bubble mix as it may not be ‘soapy’ enough depending on the brand you purchase. I’ll looking forward to exploring this medium more next week.
If you have any feedback or requests, I would LOVE to hear from you, so sound off in the comments below.

I’m continuing the focus on Make-Up/Beauty trends that transition from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter. This look is for a subtle eye if you want to do the purple, brown, burgundy, red lip forecasted for this upcoming fall or any dramatically coloured lip. It’s a double eyeliner, starting black and a subtle colour on top.
Tips:
* The more subtle the colour you choose for the second eye-liner, the more your lips pop out as they will be the center of focus
* You can match/contrast the colour of your eyeliner to your lip colour to create cohesion/levels (respectably)
